Steps to Help Your Child Learn to Write

The very first marks that your kid makes on a piece of pare is a huge surprise and such an exciting moment for all parents. Visually appealing and interesting things tend to excite kids who further want to follow and copy these things. Additionally, kids take their own time developing writing and drawing skills. So, there is no need to panic or rush about speeding up this process.

Here are few ways, suggested by a teacher at the preschool in Vadodara, to encourage your child to learn writing:

Round Objects
Kids love drawing balls, toys, and small pet animals. It’s the first instance that eye-hand coordination takes place for kids, where the sight of object excites them enough to draw them. Squishing soft toys helps kids build strength in their hands. It prepares them further to use crayon for drawing and writing.

Chalks to Crayons
Larger muscles in human body gets adapted to the movements much faster as compared to smaller ones. So, you need to give kids fat chalks that they could hold with a fist-like grip using fingers, suggests a teacher at the nursery school in Vadodara. Ask the child to make or jot down marks, any mark that they would like to, on paper or slates.

Coloring Books
Provide kids with art bools that has blank shapes, asking them to fill in these shapes with colors using their crayons. This process would give them a proper idea of outline. With time and practice, they’d advance towards writing alphabets too.
